Hi All,

** Help / Advice needed. **

I am in the process of moving some guests off one of our hosts and will have to change the IP address. I have been informed that the current DNS A record with the legacy IP address will have to be retained.

My question is when I change the IP address the legacy DNS record will not be valid. Unfortunately - I am aware of users that would ultimately use the legacy IP Address and DNS record, and there is no provision for this. Is there a way of creating a DNS record that points to the legacy DNS A and the New IP DNS record. Basically DNS record that has two different IP addressess?

I know there is something called an Alias Record but cant work out how to create that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.
