Hello.

I set Work Folders using Windows Server 2022 functionality at my research lab.

It works great for lots of Windows machines and iOS devices.

But MacOS users cannot use great Work Folders, because MS does not support MacOS, Android and Linux.

I searched the internet to solve this problem, only one document on technet suggested this problem would be solved via SMB. The link was https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-server-2012-R2-and-2012/dn528861(v=ws.11)?redirectedfrom=MSDN

But I could not find any detailed SMB settings for Work Folders.

If MacOS users can use Work Folders, it will be great for them.

Could I know how to use Work Folders using SMB on MacOS? (except iOS and Windows clients).

Thank you.

    Hello @kungmo

Apologize that the Work Folders allows you to store and access work files on Windows only and it is not available on macOS.

Windows and macOS are distinct OS with different architectures, implementing Work Folders on macOS might require significant development effort, as there might be stability, security challenges.

You might consider submit a feedback via Feedback Hub,  If there's a significant demand for Work Folders support on macOS, developers may extend this compatibility.
