I have a licensed version of win-11 + microsoft office professional plus 2021 ...I want to know whether ms defender works with microsoft office professional plus 2021?

    Hello @James Hamil , this is the sequence of events:

    • my free evaluation of McAfee tha came bundled with Win-11 expired
    • i do recall reading that MS Defender becomes the default AV client
    • i search for MS Defender and click to open

    • I am then prompted to subscribe to MS 365

    • i purchased a Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021 license and do not have a O365 subscription
    • i did further checking last night and realised under Settings --> Privacy and Security --> Windows Security --> Virus and Threat Protection --> Who's Protecting Me? - that i am indeed being protected by MS Defender
