RDS for Android - Issue with version 10.8.16.1237 ? (Touch vs. mouse mode)

Hi,

We are experiencing an issue with RDS for Android. We are running a couple of hand-held scanners with Android. We use RDS. All our scanners run v10.8.15.1208 of RDS for Android but one, which runs with v10.8.16.1237. It happens that for that latter, Input mode switches always to "mouse" upon opening of RDS. Even though, it has been previously set to "touch"

Is that a (new) normal behaviour ? If yes, where can we set the by-default input mode ?

If not. In which version of RDS for Android would this bug be fixed ?

Thanks in advance
Luis

Hello, I have the same problem on all Android devices with last version 10.0.16.1239.

Remote desktop starts even in mouse mode and not in touch mode as the previous versions.

I have removed the last version and installed manually version 10.0.14.1182 and all works fine.

    Sergio

    Hello there,

If the issue is specific to your user account, there might be corruption in your user profile. Try creating a new user profile and see if the issue persists when logging in with the new profile

I am unable to find this Behaviour or issue in the Known issue segment.

Sometimes, third-party software installed on your local or remote machine can interfere with RDS settings. Temporarily disable or uninstall any software that might be causing conflicts to see if the issue persists.

You can also report this via the feedback hub. You can raise feedback to the Microsoft team. Hope this resolves your Query !!
