There could be several reasons why you might be experiencing network issues with Microsoft Teams. Most issues discovered with the Microsoft Teams client can be traced back to firewall or proxy connectivity. Verifying that the necessary URLs, IP addresses, and ports are opened in your firewall or proxy will minimize unnecessary troubleshooting.
If you’re experiencing issues during a Teams meeting or call, you can use the Call health view in Teams to help identify and troubleshoot the problem. This view provides real-time data on your network, audio, screen sharing, and outgoing video quality, which is updated every 15 seconds. To view your stats during a call or meeting, select More actions at the top of the call window, and then select Call health near the top of the menu.
If you’re still experiencing issues after checking your firewall or proxy connectivity and using the Call health view, you might want to consider optimizing your network for Teams performance. This can be especially helpful if Teams is running slowly due to insufficient bandwidth or if calls keep dropping due to firewall or proxy blockers.
