I have upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and I am trying to automatically connect to WiFi using a user's credentials, but this option is greyed out. How do I enable this?

    Check registry value

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NFC\SharedAccess\UserCredential

    Hi @Lu, Xinxin

    1. Check the network security settings of the Wi-Fi network that you want to connect to. You may need to change the authentication method from WPA2-Personal to WPA2-Enterprise or vice versa, depending on the network requirements. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > your Wi-Fi network name > Wireless Properties > Security tab.
    2. Check the Wi-Fi adapter properties and make sure that the option to use Windows credentials for this network is enabled. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties > Configure > Advanced tab.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian

    Hello guys

I have found a fix. I will post it below in case anyone needs this.

Enabling sign into Wi-Fi (Windows 11)

Open the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc)

Go to ‘Computer Configuration\ Admin Template\ System\Device Guard’

               Double-click on ‘Device Guard’

Click the ‘Disabled’ option, then apply.

Close the ‘Device Guard’ & gpedit windows

                              Open Command Prompt (cmd)

                                    Type: “gpupdate /force”
