Microsoft authenticator not working

Hi. Im trying to log in to my school microsoft account at ******@mail.smcvt.edu
however whenever i am asked to use the authenticator app it does not work. When i logg in to the authenticator app on my phone i dont get any option to put in the code. If i try to click the option of not being avle to use the app i just get redirected to other methods of using the app that still dont work which is completely useless!!
