As far as I know, the DC/AC mode you mentioned should refer to the machine power management mode, so I think it should be related to the hardware.
I searched for related policies or settings in Edge, and only enable the corresponding settings in Efficiency mode to extend battery life, you can simply refer to this document: Efficiency mode enabled.
