I'm trying to install MS-DOS and Windows 3.11 for Workgroups on Hyper-V on Windows 11 PC. I have a Visual Studio Subscription and was able to download these files but I don't know how to get from point A to point B.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

I am afraid that both are legacy OS and may not work into Hyper-V or any other Hypervisor. However Please note that to install any OS you will need its .iso file , Hence please try to get .iso file if they are available and create Gen-1 type VM to install legacy OS

    Hi,

If there is a floppy drive in your computer, just run the make14.bat to write the img files to the floppy disks. Or you can create virtual floppy disks (vfd files) and mount them to the Disklette Drive on a Generation 1 virtual machine, then run make14.bat in the VM to write the img files to the mounted vfd files. Once done you can boot from the floppy and install DOS.

    Best Regards,
