Hello,

Since the beginning of June, I would say, the links to the shared folders on the server no longer work. No error message, just nothing...

If I right-click on the link, edit, I can see my network shortcut (e.g. \server\folder), copy the link + paste into file explorer, it works, so the link is OK. This happens on every OneNote in the company. This is OneNote for Windows 10 version 16001.14326.21452.0

I found a similar but unanswered topic here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1320244/onenote-problem-of-the-link-function?page=1&orderby=helpful#answers

Thanks for your help!

    Hi @Alexandre MELLET,

It seems to be a known issue in OneNote. There may be something wrong in the Microsoft backend and it is currently not fixed by Microsoft. To avoid adverse effects on your business, I would suggest contact Microsoft support . MS experts will have a remote session with you, collect and analyze logs on your devices and help you resolve this issue ASAP.

    Hello,

If the issue appears globally to every user of OneNote in the company, it would be recommended to check with the O365 administrator to check if there is any policy that could be preventing opening network locations.

Otherwise, locally, I can recommend to check if the Privacy options as set to the correct level through:

In OneNote 2016 click on File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options.

Make sure to uncheck the option: Check Microsoft Office documents that are from or link to suspicious Web sites.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
