Will archived calender items be available in the "new" Outlook-app?

Hi there,

I am curious. I know that, according to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/troubleshoot/archive-mailboxes/cannot-see-calendar-folder, it is normal behavior that you can not view your in-place archived calender items in the web-app.

Now, with the new Outlook being available for testing, I would like to know that maybe in the near future, this app will be able to show these archived items as it seems based on the web-version?

I might have missed something, maybe it is already available but I can not find it.

As you may have already noticed, this is currently not yet supported in the New Outlook preview. Then I tried searching a lot but so far haven't seen it mentioned in any official document about the plan to add this feature in the New Outlook. There's no relevant item available in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap either.

Given this, I've just tried sending this suggestion via the in-app Feedback option：

And I've also submitted this into the official feedback portal for Outlook. I'll leave the link below in case you or other community users who see this thread would like to vote it up or comment there. Hope this feature can be added soon!
