Did you mean that you changed the installation location during installing Build Tools for VS2022?
Which part of Installation locations do you want to change? Visual Studio IDE or Download cache or Shared components, tools, and SDKs?
Actually, there are some tools and SDKs that still have to be installed on the system drive even if you choose another location.
So, we recommend you install the VS on the system drive.
Do you have existing VS on your pc? If you already have VS on your pc, please completely uninstall the existing VS, then, retry to install the Build Tools for VS2022 to another drive.
