1-2 days after copying the path link for a document from the document library, I receive a 'Page Not Found' error.

The original link changes from: ......%20Discovery%20Appointment%20.mp4

To: .......%20Discovery%20Appointment%C2%A0.mp4

What is causing the document path URL to change and add the additional '%C2%A0' and become invalid?

Have you changed the file name?

There are two types of links in the SharePoint, a sharing link and a stable link.

1.When you select a file then click copy link, it is a sharing link. This sharing link URL contains sharing permissions, so the URL will become invalid after a while.

2.To copy the document URL that won't change, click the document -> Details -> Copy the path. URL looks like

    I have had similar issues.

I have been using the link shared in an email and sometime copy the link to another document (e.g.: excel spreadsheet for tracking taskings). Sometimes the same link brings me to the right file location sometimes and others it does not. I'm not clear why the file path is changing when using the copy/paste function.

This is especially problematic when documents are shared with me and I do not know the file path in the folders or have access to the other higher folders in the directory.
