I keep getting blue screen and saying Please Later after successfully connecting to Windows in Remote Desktop Connect, but the connection quality is good and my network is normal.

My System Information

Windows 10 Pro

Version number 22H2

Installation date 4/30/2023

Operating System Build 19045.3324

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0

Methods tried:

  1. Remove and re-add the IP credentials of the controlled computer in my Windows, but it doesn't work.
  2. Reset the network and restart the computer, this method is also useless.
  3. Double-click on the [Services] page to open [Windows Modules Installer] to modify [Startup Type] to [Automatic], this method still fails

Summary:

After I tried the above 3 methods, the problem is still not solved, the situation has not appeared before, it was normal when connecting remotely before, and it will not be stuck in [Please later] and cannot connect to the controlled computer.

    Hello there,

Have you checked the Event Viewer for any trace?

If you cannot find anything in Event Viewer I would suggest you use tools like Procmon to find the root cause for this behaviour.

Have you made any recent updates that you are aware of on this device? If so try uninstalling them and check if this sorts out the issue

Ensure that the Remote Desktop Service (TermService) is running on the remote computer. You can check this in the Windows Services panel (services.msc).

Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Remote Desktop Client on your local machine. Outdated clients may have compatibility issues with newer versions of Windows.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
