.Net Maui unresolved error

Hi Friends has anyone received this error or know what the problem is? Do you think I may have a corrupt file?

Error MAUIG1001 An error occured while parsing Xaml: Name cannot begin with the '<' character, hexadecimal value 0x3C. Line 18, position 13..

To find the line 18, try to enable the line numbering for XAML files (or for all files):

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/reference/how-to-display-line-numbers-in-the-editor

Then open the XAML file.

Thanks for your help. This is whats on line 18 but I dont think this is the problem. <ApplicationIdGuid>c79f2bff-f14c-40f6-9e4d-940a7d899237</ApplicationIdGuid>.

Maybe this line is valid, but is placed incorrectly as an attribute of another element, which probably is unfinished.

You sure this doesnt mean maybe there is a corrupt file somewhere

<ApplicationIdGuid> will be in your project file not in a Xaml file and so won't be relevant to the error you posted. The error log should show which file the error is in, and you'll want to look at line 18, position 13 in that file. There is probably an erroneous Name property at that location.

You may receive that error pointing you misleadingly to the csproj when you have a XAML issue somewhere else in your MAUI app. Check your BUILD output for any other XAML errors to track that down - a problem in your XAML not your csproj.
