Is there a way to change security type of a VM, from Trust Launch, to standard VM? If not, is there a way to back his os disk, and attach it a a newly created VM with standard security type?

Hello, @Badr-eddine TIBAR ! Can I change the security type of my VM from Trusted Launch to Standard? Trusted Launch cannot be disabled once it is deployed on a VM however you can disable specific Trusted Launch features such as vTPM and Secure boot. To change the VM to Standard security type, the VM will need to be recreated with the Standard security type. I hope this has been helpful! Can I change the security type of my VM from Trusted Launch to Standard?

Trusted Launch cannot be disabled once it is deployed on a VM however you can disable specific Trusted Launch features such as vTPM and Secure boot. To change the VM to Standard security type, the VM will need to be recreated with the Standard security type.

Thanks a lot @kobulloc-MSFT for your answer. After creation, I did some changes and installs, is there any solution to keep the os disk, attach it to a new VM, and not loose all modifications I did. Best regards .

If you are looking to keep the OS disk, there are a couple options I would look at:

OS swap: This allows you to swap out the OS disk.

Snapshot/Attach OS: This allows you to create a new VM using an existing OS disk.
