Logic app with Standard plan can't send email?

We have a solution to use logic app sending email to business user when pipeline runs success, but during the preparation to deploy to prod, I was told by our cloud catalog team, that a logic app with a standard plan doesn't have the ability to send out email, only logic app with consumption plan can, is that true? to my knowledge, for standard plan, it's for enterprise level, better performance, better security, but less features? doesn't make any sense to me.

Hello @Wei Dai - Thanks for reaching out! General capability-wise, both the Standard and Consumption SKUs support sending emails. However, depending on your Email service provider, supportability might vary in case-by-case scenarios. For example, in the case of GMail service provider, the Logic Apps connector only works with Consumption as called out in the doc:
