    Hello there,

Windows Server 2019 provides a built-in tool called Task Scheduler that you can use to schedule snapshot creation at specific intervals. To schedule snapshots:

Open "Task Scheduler" from the Start menu.

Create a new task that runs the vssadmin create shadow command at the desired interval. You can specify the volumes you want to snapshot as part of this command.

Example command to create a snapshot of the C: volume:

    vssadmin create shadow /For=C:

Configure the task to run at your preferred backup schedule (e.g., daily, weekly).

Hope this resolves your Query !!

    Hey,

In addition, if you have I/O intensive application, you can configure VSS to make application aware checkpoints. Might help: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/storage-at-microsoft/iscsi-target-storage-vds-vss-provider/ba-p/424576

You can also use StarWind VSAN as an alternative to create iSCSI storage.
