Entire computer freezes and doesn’t turn off from Minecraft

Hello, I have been having issues with playing Minecraft and it has been freezing my entire computer. After trying different methods to turn off my computer after it completely freezes, it still remains on. Sometimes it will just become a black screen. I took out the battery to see if it could do anything and my computer still remained on. Afterwards, I got an error code and my computer restarted but returned to being a black screen then the normal startup screen. I was wondering if my RAM is the problem and if I should allocate more RAM to the game. My computer RAM is 8GB. Also, when I run the game my Disc is at 100%. Thank you very much to anyone who could lend me their time and assistance, I really appreciate it.

Are you using HDD or, SSD? If you're consistently experiencing high disk usage, especially on a traditional hard drive (HDD), consider upgrading to a solid-state drive (SSD) if possible. SSDs are generally faster and more reliable than HDDs.
Open the Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting "Task Manager" or by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + Esc." Go to the "Processes" tab and sort processes by "Disk" to see which processes are using the most disk resources. This can help you identify any specific applications causing the high disk usage.

2023-08-22T00:23:35.94+00:00 Hello, thank you for your feedback. I apologize but I cannot recall what error code it was. I am using a HDD. When I am not using any application, the process that uses the most disc space is System at 0.1 MB/s. I do end some processes but I only have two apps that aren’t installed by Windows. Is there possibly another way I can stop high disc usage without updating to SDD? Thank you. Thank you for your time and guidance.
