    UrlScan is obsolete and is no longer supported by Microsoft.

    UrlScan is a security tool that restricts the types of HTTP requests that Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) will process. By blocking specific HTTP requests, UrlScan Security Tool helps prevent potentially harmful requests from reaching your server.

    You can use the Request Filtering module in IIS, which has the same function:

    Configure Request Filtering in IIS.
