Outlook calendar links different for desktop/mobile.

Outlook calendar links have different formats for desktop and mobile. For example:

A side effect of this is that mobile calendar links cannot be loaded from desktop and vice versa. To my knowledge, the desktop URL only changed just recently. Is there a plan to alter the mobile URL as well so the format is standard? Is there a way to work around this to have calendar events be accessible from both device types from some external link?
