To reduce APK size tried with R8 code shrinker option able to build successfully but unable to launch the app in android. I would like to know any more configurations to be taken care along with this setting could you please suggest.

I create a demo and enable the R8 code shrinker, release it directly(change the debug mode to the release mode, then run it) in the VS, it is working.
Do you copy the apk to the android device and install it?
Can you share your csproj file here?
