Hi

I created a subsite modren team site under a site and how to change search results page for default search box in modren team site sharepoint 2019?

In sub site SiteSettings>Search>Enter a Search Center URL : changed to custom search page but still default Search box showing results in _layouts/15/search.aspx page

Go to subsite Site Settings -> Search -> Search settings -> Enter a Search Center URL -> Then unclick "Use the same results page settings as my parent." -> Click "Send queries to a custom results page URL." -> Enter the Search Results page URL.

After changed search settings, please do a full crawl to make changes take effect.

I have done further test and here are some findings for you.

The Search settings in the Site settings (subsite) only effect classic search in the SharePoint 2019. If you use modern search, the search result page is designed, and cannot be customized.

After setting Search settings in the Site settings (subsite), please go to Site contents -> Return to classic SharePoint, then do classic search, it redirects to custom search result page you have set in the Search settings.
