Hi

We compare the installed services, drivers on our Server with a baseline.

After the Update KB5029250 (Build 20348.1906) we had a new service, driver UnionFS.sys on the box.

The file is valid signed from microsoft. But I can't find any info to this services.

Is there any information to this service, driver?

Can I disable this service, driver?

Thanks

    Hello

UnionFS is a filesystem service for Linux, FreeBSD, and NetBSD that implements a union mount for other file systems. It allows files and directories of separate file systems, known as branches, to be transparently overlaid, forming a single coherent file system. However, I couldn’t find any information about the UnionFS.sys service driver specifically related to the KB5029250 update (Build 20348.1906) for Windows Server 2022.

It’s important to note that disabling or removing system drivers or services can potentially cause issues with your operating system questions.
