Hi,
I've setup a (non-Windows) server with autodiscover capabilities, however the Outlook Connectivity test is giving me the following error:
I've checked that the response from https://contoso.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml returns 404, and I tested returning an XML document from https://autodiscover.contoso.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml, or use a SRV record to return the same XML on another root domain. The connectivity test correctly picks up the XML document and the content looks valid to me. Using the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration capability from Outlook it correctly retrieves the account settings as well. However, somehow it says that no account settings were returned, neither does Outlook use the correct settings. What is wrong?
Output shown in connectivity test (replaced MX domain by contoso.com). Note that the email domain is different from the IMAP/POP3/SMTP server, and I support only the SSL versions of those protocols.

Additionally, running the Office 365 Outlook connectivity test gives me SSL errors while this passes in the test above, and I have all modern TLS versions and ciphers enabled!

Could you try to provide some more details about this? Is Exchange server involved in your setup? If yes, what's the version of the Exchange sever?
Have you tried expanding the Test steps and see if more clues can be found there?

I do not use Exchange server in my setup. I want users of Outlook to be able to configure their email with my server.

Sorry that personally I have little experience on other email servers so I am afraid I can hardly help further with your issue. But a quick search online led to be the link below, and according to the discussion there, seems like it could be related to the version of Outlook clients:

2023-08-26T07:42:13.1466667+00:00 Thanks, it is true that Outlook for O365 is having problems, I'm not sure I can test other versions. I was just wondering how to fix the test and make it work. I mean, it is weird that:
- The autodiscovery test that comes with Outlook works fine!
- The connectivity test of Outlook finds a valid XML but finds no account settings (!)
- The connectivity test of Outlook for Office 365 complains about missing modern TLS support (but I do support the latest!)
Or should we conclude that Outlook for O365 and the connectivity tests are broken?

According to this document, "The tool (Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer) is web-based, and is designed to help IT Administrators troubleshoot connectivity issues that affect their Microsoft 365, Teams, and Exchange Server deployment". So there's a chance that it's not applicable in your scenario that uses your own email server.
