I am facing issue (UpdatesDeployment.log Job Error (0x80004005) on almost 30 machines.
I tried to rename reg.pol file and restarted ccmexec services also updated GPupdate but new reg.pol file not getting created.
Also i have deployed below script on problematic machines no luck. I am trying to update 22h2 enablement package on 21h1 machines. but due to this error machines not getting update in software center.
Move-Item -Path "$env:SystemRoot\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol" -Destination "$env:SystemRoot\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol.old"
Invoke-GPUpdate -Force

Hi @TechUST It tooks some moment to think about it, but do you have the same issue on a clean installed machine? Besides that, what are the results when you follow these steps;
Start an elevated command prompt.
Run the following commands hitting enter after each line:
net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%
ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
net start wuauserv
Reboot
