Good morning,

A teams meeting was recorded without the consent of other students. Is there a way I can delete this recording? It was started by a student.

Thanks

    Hi

    1. Identify the Owner or Organizer

Since the recording was started by a student, they would typically be the owner of the recording. However, it's possible that the recording is accessible to other participants, especially if it was uploaded to a shared location like Microsoft Stream or OneDrive.

    1. Check Where the Recording Is Stored
    • Microsoft Teams: Recordings are generally saved to Microsoft Stream, OneDrive, or SharePoint depending on the organization's settings.
      • Microsoft Stream: Teams recordings saved here can be managed directly through the Stream interface.
        • OneDrive for Business or SharePoint: Teams recordings saved here can be managed through the respective file storage platform.
    1. Deleting the Recording

    If Stored in Microsoft Stream:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft Stream: Go to Microsoft Stream and sign in with your credentials.
      1. Find the Recording: Navigate to "My Content" > "Videos" and locate the recording.
        1. Delete the Recording: Click on the video you want to delete. Then, click on the "More actions" (three dots) and select "Delete."
If Stored in OneDrive for Business:
        1. Sign in to OneDrive: Go to OneDrive for Business and sign in.
          1. Locate the File: Find the folder where the recording was saved (often under "Recordings").
            1. Delete the File: Right-click on the file and select "Delete."
    • If Stored in SharePoint:
    1. Sign in to SharePoint: Go to your SharePoint site and sign in.
    2. Find the Document Library: Navigate to the document library where the recording is stored.
    3. Delete the File: Locate the recording, select it, and choose "Delete" from the toolbar.
