This is a Microsoft Project Online Version 2307 support request. Reposting using tag suggested in other forum. Please route to appropriate area for support or let me know where to go for an answer to our MS Project question. Thank you in advance.

Schedule Performance Index is incorrectly calculated due to incorrect rolling up of BCWS to the summary level. For example, I have the below set of tasks with the fields required for calculating SPI (both BCWP and BCWS). Task 5 is an inactivated task that appears to be the only task rolling up to the BCWS on the Summary line. We expected, since all of the active detail tasks were completed, their BCWS values would have rolled up to the Summary line and equal BCWP.

How can I get the BCWS recalculated at the summary level to be correct?

Name%CompleteBCWPBCWSSPI (BCWP/BCWS)Summary100%$23,750$100,786.020.24Task 1100%$10,800$10,8001Task 2100%$10,800$10,8001Task 3100%$1,200$1,2001Task 4100%$950$9501Task 5 (inactive)0%$0.00$100,786.020This scenario occurs in multiple places with and without inactive tasks. Not sure how the summary line BCWS field got corrupted but we would like to know if there is a way to recalculate BCWS without rebaselining the whole schedule. Please advise.

Thanks,

Rob
