What were you trying to do?

Are you trying to deploy a Azure VPN Gateway

or Are you trying to deploy a vHub P2S Gateway

or Did you make any update operations on an existing resource?

If so, was it a Azure VPN Gateway or vHub P2S Gateway

Are you using Azure Portal or CLI or Powershell or Templates?

Is this issue still happening?

Can you specify the region in which this resource is deployed?

Thanks for the reply @KapilAnanth-MSFT not sure why but all the emails from this thread were stuck in our email gateway, just got the emails today.

We have figured this out, I was missing the / in front of the Tenant ID and Issuer under the user VPN configuration.

I've got the same error when I use the certificate authentication type, and pasted the certifacte body including -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and -----END CERTIFICATE-----. Only what's between them should be pasted.

You may see a hint to what is wrong if you look at the JSON in the failed deployment details.

You were receiving the error message : Additional details from the underlying API that might be helpful: The template deployment 'Microsoft.Network-20230824124753' is not valid according to the validation procedure. The tracking id is 'a643e9d9-fd74-4dd0-a180-75051f10c7f2'. See inner errors for details.

It is found that the Tenant ID was misconfigured and fixing this, resolved the issue.
