microsoft authenticator

Hi,

I'm trying to connect on my school account to access to my university mail so i don't miss any payment or essential things for me to do in order to actually go to my university, but i can't do that because whenever i try to, it asks me to go on microsoft authenticator and enter the code shown on screen. Here comes the problem, i logged of my authenticator app because i changed my phone, so i had to log back into authenticator so that i could use it, but i can't because when i try to, it asks me to go on authenticator and enter the code that is shown on my screen, even tho i'm literally on the app, therefore disabling me from entering it. Bottom line, i can't use authenticator, which consequently disables me from logging in to my scholar accounts, which is pretty damn bad. So i was wondering how to fix that?

You'll need the assistance of the school admins to reset the account so a new QR code can be generated with which you can link up the new authentication device with your account.
