Hi ,

I want to downgrade windows server 2022 to windows server 2019 at my server.

My Questions:

  1. Is there will be any issue with the hardware server driver when I downgrade it?
  2. What is the process for the downgrade? Did I need to buy new license for windows server 2019? Who should I refer to about the downgrade?

I'm really appreciate for any feedback.

Thanks.

Windows Server 2019 v1809 is the long term service branch version.

Build numbers related to the current patch level. The latest build comes when you patch fully with the latest cumulative update. August 8, 2023 KB5029247 (OS Build 17763.4737)

    1. Probably no issues but you can confirm here or with the server manufacturer about support for server 2019 https://www.windowsservercatalog.com/
    2. Ask the seller about downgrade rights and access to a downgrade product key for Server 2019
