Purview Business Asset Import parsing error - "type name cannot be empty"

Hi all,

I have created a new Business Asset called "Indicateur" in our environment.

When I try to bulk import our csv file from the Business Assets section in the Portal, I get the following parsing error : "Error detail: type name cannot be empty".

The "typeName" field is correctly populated, and so are the guid and name fields, which are the only mandatory ones.

I tried re-importing the template itself and got the same error.

I'm guessing the bug sits on the Purview side.

Pls let me know how to move ahead and if there is a workaround.

Thanks forward,

Franck

    Hello @BERNERON Franck

Check if the CSV file is formatted correctly and all the required fields are populated. Make sure that the "typeName" field is not empty and is correctly formatted.

Try importing a different CSV file to see if the issue is specific to the current file. If the new file imports successfully, then the issue might be with the formatting of the original file.
