Import legacy email archive into Office 365 Import Service

Hi all,

we are looking to migrate from an existing online email archive to using Office 365, the provider will export the emails in raw message format im guess .eml.
from reading : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/importing-pst-files-to-office-365?view=o365-worldwide

its appears to only accept .pst which will be a huge problem to convert 200GB of individual emails and then we also need to consider making the files small enough to upload as a batch.

Yes, the PST import service is only for PSTs. There are multiple third-party products that can help with that scenario, if you are willing to spend some $$$.

Yes, your understanding is correct, this service only supports .pst files. For larger files, Microsoft recommends using drive shiping to import PST files. However, it is recommended that each PST file should not be larger than 20GB. And if you choose this method to import it will incur corresponding costs. The link you provided contains more details.
