Hi,

I wanted to try to create a virtual desktop in Azure for the first time and created Azure account, followed guidelines here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/tutorial-create-connect-personal-desktop?tabs=windows-client

and deployed a virtual desktop. I added a separate user account with "Virtual Machine User Login" role for the VMand have ensured that hostpool has assignment on my other user account.

However, resources are not available while user tries to access them via web or remote desktop application. The error message is "There are currently no resources assigned to ..."

Any ideas what to check?

_pekkeli_ Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

The issue could be due to not having necessary permissions to access the virtual desktop resource.

    1. Check the permissions of the user account you are using to access the resources. Ensure the user account has necessary permissions to access VD such as host pool and VM.
    2. Verify that the VD and associated resources are in the same region as the user account you are using to access them. If they are in different regions, you may not be able to access the resources.
    3. Check the status of VD and ensure they are in running state, if they are not, you may not be able to access them. You can check the status in the portal.

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
