Office 365 Admin password reset issue. Recovery email same as admin email

Question

I have Office 365 admin account and forgot password. When trying to recover/reset password Microsoft is sending verification code to the recovery email but recovery email is the same as admin email I am not able to login to. This is so frustrating. I am not able to contact support because I cannot login to admin account and support is from within O365 admin portal. This is urgent how can I solve this problem? Thanks

Hi Atiq,

Ideally you should have another account as a backup in case the primary account have issues, it is known as breakfix account. However in this instance if you are the only admin of the tenant the only way to recover is to call up global numbers and provide the ownership and identity proof of the tenant that you own it.
