How can I transfer 'on my computer' emails from Outlook to a new Mac?

I have a user with around 150GB of 'on my computer' emails in their Outlook for Mac and I need to transfer these to a new Mac. How do I transfer these to Outlook on a new Mac?

Instructions for Legacy and New Outlook would be appreciated.

If you transfer emails to another device, the exact method depends on your Outlook version and email account type. According to your description, your emails are stored to the local computer, and you can export to an .olm file on your old Mac and then import it to your new Mac device. For specific methods, please refer to the documents and steps linked below:

Export emails to Outlook for Mac data files (.olm): Tools> Export> Export to Archive File (.olm)

Import a .olm file from Outlook for Mac: Tools> Import> Outlook for Mac archive file (.olm)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The user is currently using 'new outlook' which I believe doesnt support import/export, so I guess they'd have to first revert to Legacy Outlook and then do the Export and also use Legacy Outlook on the new computer for the import.

The users email is an Exchange account, but they have so many emails they created the local 'on my computer' in order to archive their older emails. Are you sure the export will export the 'on my computer' data?

Yes, the method of importing and exporting data files is for the classic version of Outlook for Mac.

Please kindly understand that many functions are not designed at present. For your experience, we recommend that you switch back to the classic version.
