Our agency has recently moved to MS 365 for our Office apps, (Word, Excel), but are still running our SharePoint 2019 on-premises. We are seeing long and frustrating time lags during the editing of documents and spreadsheets. It sometimes takes several minutes to open a file, as the warning 'Contacting the server for information' displays.
Has anyone else seen this, behavior and if so, have you found ways to mitigate it?
NOTE: We have not (yet) configured the hybrid experience for SharePoint. Would doing so alleviate this issue?
