Could not register the resource provider "Microsoft.Compute"

I cannot register the resource provider "Microsoft.Compute". All the other resource providers that we registered worked fine.

Error - Subscription Registering Resource Provider

'Register' operation check timed out on Resource Provider 'microsoft.compute', please refresh resource providers list to check for registration status.

It just shows Registering. I have tried to re-register and unregister but no matter what I do it does not work.

Are you trying to register via PowerShell or Portal? Try to do from both places and see if it helps !

Sometimes, due to any technical issues, the resource registration can fail. In this case, you may try after some time and see the issue got resolved.

I tried in Azure and then opened the cloud shell and used the command Register-AzureRmResourceProvider -ProviderNamespace Microsoft.Compute

Have a try with following Azure CLI command

az provider register -n Microsoft.Compute

Hi All, I have the similar issue where MIcrosoft.Web keeps registering for a while. Any Ideas?
