    Hi.

Here are the steps to disable/remove and enable DirectAccess on a domain-joined machine:

    1. Open the Group Policy Management Console.
    2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Network > DirectAccess Client Experience Settings.
    3. Double-click on the Disable DirectAccess policy.
    4. Select the Enabled option.
    5. Click on Apply and then click on OK.
    6. To enable DirectAccess, follow the same steps and select the Disabled option in step 4.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian

I was looking at testing a different VPN and was looking for this solution. I found two places recommending this but my laptop does not have the Disable DirectAccess entry at all. In fact everything under DirectAccess Client Experience Settings is set to not configured.
