How to fix synching issues within Word documents with multiple users

2023-08-30T01:20:01.5233333+00:00

Our team are facing ongoing issues working with shared Word documents via Teams. Essentially our team members are getting a very different view each time the document is opened. For example, bullets are dropping out or are misaligned, paragraph settings change, tables are reformatted etc. Can anyone provide any solutions for this? We are all working with the most current version of Word via Teams.

Looking forward to hearing from someone soon!

    Hi @Atsikbasis, Vicki (Curriculum Development)

Editing from within Microsoft Teams has the same limitations as using the web app. Some advanced formatting features are not available. Please see this article to view what the exact differences are.

Please try to change the way to open files in Teams to Open in app (open from Word desktop), this way will not affect the format.
