Integration services: new host old guest

Hi,

we are moving Hyper-V from Server 2012R2 to 2022.

We move virtual machines. Not all guest machines will be upgraded to the new version of Windows. I have a question regarding the installation of integration services: I know that since 2016 there is no need to install on guest systems, but the VMs that I will transfer already have integration services (2012R2) installed. Do I need to uninstall them on these machines or should I update manually somehow?

    Hi meu-1562,

Since Windows Server 2016, you can install the Hyper-V feature to automatically upgrade the integration service of all migrated VMs to the appropriate version.

    Best Regards,
