Factory recovery tool Windows 10

Question

Windows 10 recovery doesn't seems to work anymore, a year back i did this procedure on a different laptop and worked remarkably well with a cloud version so no big updates needed to be done.

Tried it again last week on a Lenovo laptop (domain bound) W10 Pro 22H2 and today on a Dell (domain removed) W10 Pro 21h2.

Both fail recovery and return to the last state.... what the hip!!

Found a tut online, left shift and restart, but this also doesn't do anything.

Is this an fault that has recently been introduced?

What problems are you having with the computer in which you want to perform a factory reset?

A factory reset removes everything including personal files.

A factory reset installs bloatware or software that you may never use.

There are options to install a fresh version of Windows.

If there are important files there are options to have Windows save them.
