CANNOT DELETE VM AND STILL CHARGING

It doesnt let me delete the VM instance because it says it doesnt exist, but it is still charging me.

I have tried deleting it using the portal, azure cli and powershell, but nothing works.

when i try to delete it it says succeeded but the VM is still there up and running.

Because I was in a hurry to solve the problem and I didn't want to have more charges on the account for that VM that kept running, I decided to pause the subscription, and then when I renewed it again I was able to delete everything normally, I don't know if it was a bug of the platform.

The issue you are facing could be the result of un recommended way of deleting the associated resources to the VM. You may also try a different way to delete the VM as given in the following steps

Login to https://resources.azure.com/ portal

Browse the exact location of the virtual machine as shown in the following example

Click 'Edit'. Click 'PUT' button to update the VM

Try to delete the VM again from azure portal and see if it works. If that also doesn't help, click 'Actions (POST,DELETE) Button from the resources portal

A 'DELETE' button should visible as below and try a delete by pressing the button

I tried that, but the Vm doesnt appear in the resources, but when i try to delete a disk, it doesnt let me, it says that it is still attached to a VM (that apparently doesnt exits)

Try the following PowerShell command and see if it can remove the disk

Remove-AzDisk -ResourceGroupName RampUp -DiskName rampup-bastionvm_OsDisk_1_0697ebba2e9248a09508a90f25901834 -Force

I tried that, but it says that the machine is still up, which is supouselly false.

Were you able to delete the disk with the command? az disk list will show the disks presented in your subscription.
