I want to investigate/learn about IFolderView2.InvokeVerbOnSelection and while there are many hits none of them gives an example of what verbs are valid.
Is there a list of valid verbs for this function please?

"The verbs available for an object are essentially the items that you find on an object's shortcut menu. To find which verbs are available, look in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID{object_clsid}\Shell\verb"
I searched for "1af3a467-214f-4298-908e-06b03e0b39f9" which is the CLSID for IFolderView2 and there are what seems like dozens of entries and they each had a sub key:
ProxyStubClsid32 with a value of {95E15D0A-66E6-93D9-C53C-76E6219D3341}
However, I could find no further entries for that value.
I tried a reverse search for "Include in library" and that doesn't show up at all. Not sure where to look next.
Is there somewhere I can find the C# prototype for IFolderView2 just to make sure the one I am using is correct?

RLWA32 52,571 Reputation points2023-09-04T08:37:47.9666667+00:00 I think you have misunderstood the documentation. Verbs are related to specific objects, not to the IFolderView2 interface. The IFolderView2 interface has an IID, not a CLSID. For example, if you right click on a file in Explorer the context menu will show you the verbs for that file. While the verbs in a context menu for different types of files may be the same (e.g., "Open") the actions they take could easily be different. For example, Open for a .txt file may open the file in Notepad, but Open for an image file could open the file in an Image editor/viewer.
The action taken by IFolderView2::InvokeVerbOnSelection for any verb passed to it will depend on what is selected. And you may get surprising and unexpected results if multiple items of different types are selected.

Is there a way to find what verbs can be used other than right clicking on an item and trying to copy things from the menu? It isn't possible to take a screen shot of a pop up menu!
