Network Connections & Hardware - Name & Description Change

Question

Dear Microsoft Learn,

How can I modify the Name & Description for some select Network Connections & Hardware, please?

The two Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapters appear with those same names under the Device Manager. If I remove them manually from the Device Manager and then I restart my computer, they will be recreated automatically with the same Name & Description. These are the attributes that I am looking to modify.

I cannot find the Network Connections Names under the Network Connections window.

According to your description, I tested it on my own computer, and at first there was rename the Internet next to the organizer in the network connection, but after I tried to change the name, the computer prompted me that I needed to change it as an administrator or as an authorized identity.

To modify the name and description of network connections, you may need use the Network List Manager Policies to allow users to change the network name and location.
