Microsoft Authenticator - re-register MFA guest account

Hi Support,

I am not able to login on an organization SharePoint with my guest account. I need to verify my account with the authenticator app and this is not possible anymore since I use a new mobile phone. How can I reset the MFA on my guest account?

Thak you for posting in this community.

You can contact your Azure Active Directory Administrator to re-register for MFA.

Here are the steps:

Sign in to the Azure portal.

On the left, select Azure Active Directory > Users > All users.

Choose your account->select Authentication methods and click "Require re-registration for MFA".

Reference: Manage user authentication options.

i am having same issue, missing guest account line in authenticator app.

So none of the notifications sent out by the collaboration domain (where i registered as guest) received by Authenticator in my new phone.

The question is: should i contact my domain IT guy, or the IT guy from the other domain (where i am registered as guest)?

Contact the IT dept and have them reset your MFA so you can register the new phone

Thank you for this. Please how do I reset it or how do i contact the support. I am always been redirected to my authenticator app which I can no longer access.

Good info.

I have Talked to my IT guys (my domain owner), they assisted with remotely several times, but no luck yet to date, which leave me confused with unresolved issue.

so question is: should i contact my domain IT guy (my office), or the IT guy from the other domain (where i am collaborated as guest to their SharePoint)?

which one is the right IT to contact that can resolve this?

I have contacted the organization IT department. In this case, we work closely with the client which made it easy for me to contact the right people.
