Listed printers in local laptop/desktop is not reflected in AVD machine

How can I view the list of printers in an AVD (Azure virtual desktop) machine using a Windows laptop and Remote Desktop Client? The printer is listed and can print locally, but not in the AVD machine. Printer redirection is already configured in the RDP properties of the AVD host pool. This issue is only happening to one user.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

As you mentioned that the redirections are allowed in RDP properties, can you please check the GPO's /Intune settings as well.

Where ever the deny policy configured it take the priority so verify all policies and make them allowed in config policies.

Our AVD environment does not have MS Intune, instead all policies related to the servers are implemented in GPO (gpomc.msc).

There's no restriction set specifically for printer redirection specifically.

It does seem strange that is occurring to only 1 user only which is Windows OS laptop. Other users using Windows OS laptop, do not encounter such issues.

This issue needs deeper investigation. Support team will be able to check and help on this. I would recommend you to open a azure support case.

If you don't have a support plan enabled on your subscription, I request you to send an email to AzCommunity@Microsoft.com with Subject as "Attn:Vikas" referencing this thread along with your subscription ID. I can then enable your subscription with a one-time free technical support.

Once the issue is resolved, request you to post the resolution here for the benefit of community.
