As support for Xamarin ends May 1, 2024, it should not be an issue. you should have upgraded to Maui by then.

Visual studio code will have Maui support. If you need an ide look at jetbrains Rider.

    Hello,

As Bruce said, Xamarin support will end on May 1, 2024 for all Xamarin SDKs. It's recommended that you try to use MAUI, see Xamarin Support Policy

In addition, please see the What options do I have instead of Visual Studio for Mac? section of the Visual Studio for Mac Retirement Announcement blog.

The .Net MAUI extension for VS Code is currently in preview.

If you have questions about the announcement, please ask them in the Visual Studio for Mac Retirement Announcement blog comments.

    Best Regards,

    Wenyan Zhang

Better to use Xcode because it's best for Mac app development.
