Why is my Authenticator app asking me to open my Authenticator app?

I deleted my work profile from Authenticator app, when I added it back again-it asked me to verify access, almost as if I have the Authenticator app on another device, but that’s not the case. Basically the authenticator app is asking me to open the Authenticator app. Can you help?

You can restore from backup (assuming there was one) but make sure no accounts have been added to the newly install app. Then sign on with recovery account to do the restore.
