Hi,

I connected a Forex VPS to an MS remote desktop connection I downloaded from the app store. But it doesn't go on full screen, it says it's online and connected. When I press open, it will try to open but closes quickly.

I am using a MacBook Pro with an M2 chip. Is there a known issue with such? How can I use a remote desktop to use my vpn?

Thank you,

It's possible that there may be compatibility issues between the MS Remote Desktop Connection and the M2 chip on your MacBook Pro. One way to resolve this issue is to try using an alternative remote desktop software that is compatible with your device.

One popular alternative is the "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app, which is specifically designed for macOS. You can download this app from the Mac App Store. Once installed, you can configure it to connect to your Forex VPS by following these steps:

    1. Launch the "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app.
    2. Click on the "+" button at the top of the app window to add a new connection.
    3. In the "Add PC" section, enter the necessary details such as the PC name or IP address of your Forex VPS.
    4. Customize any additional settings as per your requirements.
    5. Click on the "Add" button to save the connection.

Once you've added the connection, you can simply select it from the main app window and click on the "Start" button to establish a remote desktop connection with your Forex VPS. The Microsoft Remote Desktop app should give you the option to switch to full-screen mode by pressing the maximize button or using the "View" menu.

Using a remote desktop connection with a VPN involves connecting to the remote desktop first and then establishing a VPN connection within the remote desktop session. Once you are connected to your Forex VPS through the remote desktop, you can connect to your VPN by following these general steps:

    1. Launch the web browser within the remote desktop session.
    2. Visit the website or open the VPN client provided by your VPN service.
    3. Enter your VPN credentials and establish the VPN connection.

Alternatively, some VPN providers offer custom remote desktop software that integrates the VPN connection within the remote desktop client, making it more seamless and straightforward to establish a VPN connection while using a remote desktop.

If you continue to experience issues or need further assistance, I would recommend reaching out to the support team of the remote desktop software you are using or consulting the documentation provided by your Forex VPS provider for any specific instructions or troubleshooting steps.
